Internet service provider NetSat (Pvt.) Limited, based in Karachi, has initiated arbitration proceedings against WorldCall Telecom Limited over alleged breaches of a commercial agreement related to fiber network operations in Pakistan’s southern region.
In a public notice, NetSat stated that both companies had entered into an arrangement involving the use, development, and expansion of WorldCall’s telecom infrastructure. Under the agreement, NetSat carried out work on fiber, aerial, and underground network systems across Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Quetta.
NetSat claims that WorldCall Telecom has violated the terms of the agreement, prompting the dispute to be referred to arbitration. The company further alleges that parts of the disputed infrastructure and related upgrades are still being commercially used despite the ongoing legal process.
NetSat has advised relevant stakeholders to exercise caution in any dealings involving the contested network assets, noting that the matter remains sub judice and subject to arbitration proceedings.
WorldCall Telecom Limited has not yet issued a public statement in response to the allegations. The final outcome of the dispute will be determined through arbitration.
