IG Railways Police Muhammad Wasi Fakhre Sultan, along with SRP Rawalpindi and DSP RP-A, conducted a detailed visit on May 15, 2026, to railway land and related sites on Shah Bukhari Road, Rawalpindi, which were recovered during a recent anti-encroachment operation.
During the visit, the IG Railways Police issued clear instructions that no encroachments should be allowed to re-emerge on the recovered railway land under any circumstances. He stated that protecting railway land and other assets is a key responsibility of the Railways Police and emphasized that these valuable assets should be utilized effectively to increase Pakistan Railways’ revenue.
He directed the concerned officers to ensure continuous monitoring of the sites and maintain close coordination with railway authorities so the land can be put to productive use, enabling the national institution to gain maximum financial benefit.
Later, the IG Railways Police also visited the under-construction SRP Office and related buildings at PRP Rawalpindi. He instructed officials to complete the remaining construction work at the earliest in accordance with the revised PC-1 and stressed that the auditorium and administrative block should be made operational promptly in coordination with railway authorities.
During the visit to the construction site, he reviewed cleanliness arrangements and ordered the immediate removal of debris, bushes, and wild plants.
Afterward, the IG Railways Police visited Hassan Railway Police Lines, Rawalpindi, where he inspected residential and office facilities and issued directions regarding necessary development work. He also emphasized maintaining cleanliness and improving the overall environment within the police lines.
