Gold prices in Pakistan jumped sharply on Friday as international bullion rates posted another significant increase.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold climbed by Rs. 5,200 to Rs. 477,136 per tola.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also rose by Rs. 4,458, reaching Rs. 409,067.
Gold had already surged by Rs. 13,700 per tola on Thursday, when its price reached Rs. 471,936.
In the international market, gold gained another $52 to reach $4,547 per ounce, including a $20 premium.
Silver prices also moved higher in the local market on Friday. The price increased by Rs. 210 per tola to Rs. 7,379.
