Gold prices fell further in Pakistan on Monday, extending the decline seen in the international market and adding to the sharp drop recorded at the end of last week.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs. 1,800 per tola to settle at Rs. 466,136.

The price of 10-gram gold also declined by Rs. 1,543, bringing the rate down to Rs. 399,636 and keeping it below the Rs. 400,000 mark.

The latest decline comes after gold suffered a major Rs. 15,100 drop on Saturday, when the per-tola price fell to Rs. 467,936.

Internationally, gold also remained under pressure. The precious metal lost another $18 to settle at $4,436 per ounce, including a $20 premium.

Silver, however, moved in the opposite direction in the domestic market. Its price increased by Rs. 67 per tola on Monday to reach Rs. 7,179.

The latest movements come after significant volatility in gold prices, with both international market trends and changes in local pricing continuing to influence rates in Pakistan.
