Gold prices in Pakistan rose sharply on Friday, tracking an increase in the international market.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola increased by Rs7,250 during the day, reaching Rs439,966.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold climbed by Rs6,525 to settle at Rs375,947.
This comes after a decline on Thursday, when gold per tola fell by Rs9,720 to close at Rs432,716.
In the global market, gold gained $72 to reach $4,175 per ounce, with a $20 premium included.
Silver prices also moved upward, rising by Rs190 per tola to reach Rs7,079 — marking a new all-time high in the local market.
