Gold prices recorded a sharp increase in Pakistan on Tuesday, tracking gains in the international bullion market.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs. 4,700 per tola to Rs. 429,236.
The price of 10 grams of gold also climbed by Rs. 4,029, reaching Rs. 368,000.
The latest increase follows Monday’s modest gain of Rs. 300 per tola, when gold closed at Rs. 424,536.
In the international market, gold advanced by $47 to $4,068 per ounce, including a $20 premium, providing further support to domestic prices.
Meanwhile, silver prices also moved higher, with the price of one tola rising by Rs. 219 to Rs. 6,396.
