The government has increased petrol prices by Rs1.85 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs1.75 per litre, with the new rates taking effect on October 29, 2026.

The Petroleum Division announced the revision on Wednesday, following a review by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) under the federal government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.

Petrol is now priced at Rs377.91 per litre, compared with Rs376.06 previously. The price of high-speed diesel has risen to Rs399.82 per litre from Rs398.07.

The latest increase comes a day after the government reduced petrol prices by Rs3.19 per litre and raised diesel prices by Rs2.25 per litre.

OGRA attributed the latest adjustment to changes in international petroleum product rates, premiums and other associated costs.

Global oil prices also moved higher on Wednesday, gaining around 2 percent as continued fighting in Yemen and an attack on a Saudi Arabian refinery fuelled concerns about possible disruptions to supplies from the Middle East.

Brent crude futures rose $1.81, or 1.6 percent, to $115.69 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude increased $2.52, or 2.5 percent, to $102.42 per barrel.

The latest rally pushed Brent crude back into overbought territory for the fourth time in five days, highlighting continued volatility in international oil markets.
