Gold prices in Pakistan climbed on Monday, tracking gains in the international market, with the price of one tola rising by Rs2,000 to Rs461,936.

According to rates issued by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10-gram gold increased by Rs1,715 to Rs396,035.

The latest increase follows a Rs500 decline recorded on Saturday, when gold closed at Rs459,936 per tola.

In the international market, gold gained $20 to reach $4,395 per ounce, including a $20 premium.

Silver prices also moved higher in the local market, increasing by Rs80 to Rs7,029 per tola.
