Gold prices in Pakistan fell by Rs. 6,500 per tola on Friday, reversing most of the previous day’s increase as international gold rates also declined.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold settled at Rs. 429,136 per tola.

The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also decreased by Rs. 5,573 to Rs. 367,914.

The decline came after gold prices surged by Rs. 9,600 per tola on Thursday to reach Rs. 435,636. Friday’s reduction erased most of that increase.

International Gold Price Falls

Gold also lost ground in the international market, where its price declined by $65 to $4,066 per ounce.

Silver prices followed the downward trend in Pakistan. The price of silver decreased by Rs. 85 per tola to Rs. 5,678.

What This Means for Buyers

The latest reduction offers some relief to people planning to purchase gold jewellery or invest in the precious metal, with the per-tola rate now Rs. 6,500 lower than Thursday’s price.

However, recent price movements show that gold remains volatile, with sharp increases and declines occurring within consecutive trading sessions.
