Quantum Data Technologies Limited (QTECH) has signed an agreement with China’s Guangzhou Great Power Energy & Technology Co. Ltd. to introduce advanced battery energy storage systems in Pakistan and gradually localize their assembly.

In a disclosure to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on October 14, QTECH said the partnership would cover battery packs for homes and businesses, industrial and utility-scale energy storage systems, and solutions for data centers, artificial intelligence infrastructure and electric vehicles.

The collaboration will also target other applications that require large amounts of reliable electricity.

Guangzhou Great Power Energy & Technology specializes in lithium batteries and energy storage solutions. The Chinese company is listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange under stock code 300438 and had an approximate market capitalization of $4 billion as of October 13, 2026.

QTECH, which focuses on data-driven technology and artificial intelligence, said reliable power supplies and energy security were important for Pakistan’s technological growth.

The company described the agreement as part of its broader plan to develop technology-related businesses and generate long-term value for shareholders.

QTECH added that it would inform the stock exchange of further material developments in line with applicable disclosure requirements.

The agreement follows a similar move by Kohinoor Energy Limited earlier this month. The company signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with China’s Hebei Juhang Energy Technology Group to explore a joint venture for lithium-ion battery pack assembly, manufacturing and energy storage systems in Pakistan.

The two developments point to growing interest in Pakistan’s battery manufacturing and energy storage market, particularly as demand rises for reliable electricity solutions for industrial facilities, electric vehicles and data centers.
