The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is set to auction 12 commercial sites in Islamabad next week, including seven petrol pump sites and five hotel plots.
The auction will take place at Jinnah Convention Centre on October 12 and 13, 2026. The five hotel plots will be offered on October 12, while the petrol pump sites will be auctioned on October 13.
The hotel plots are located in D-12 Markaz, F-5/1, E-11 and along Srinagar Highway. The locations include Plot No. 22 at D-12 Markaz, Convention Centre Hotel Plot No. 6, Five-Star Hotel Plot No. 8 in F-5/1, a site in the Northern Strip of E-11 and a site on Srinagar Highway between the Sports Complex and Margalla Hotel.
CDA will allow successful bidders to pay for the hotel plots over one year. Building plans can be approved after 25 percent of the payment has been made, while possession will be granted after 75 percent payment.
Buyers making full payment within 30 days will receive a five percent discount. Another five percent discount will be available for payments made entirely in US dollars.
Overseas investors can collect auction tokens at least one day before the auction and make payments through Roshan Digital Accounts or local banks.
The seven petrol pump sites will be offered as one package on a 20-year lease. Only registered Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) will be eligible to participate.
The petrol pump locations include areas near Lake View Park on Murree Road, Blue Area F-10, I-12 Markaz, G-8 Markaz, Move Area G-8/1 and Move Area G-11/1.
CDA has set token money of Rs250 million for participation. The monthly lease rent will be decided through open bidding and will be payable in advance, with a 10 percent annual increase.
The successful OMC will have up to five months to develop and construct the petrol pump sites. It will also be responsible for all construction, development, utility, approval, tax and licensing expenses.
The revised auction brochure can be obtained from the CDA One Window Directorate and selected branches of MCB, HBL, UBL, Askari Bank and Bank of Punjab. It is also available through the CDA website.
