Attock Cement Pakistan Limited (PSX: ACPL) has approved a new energy project featuring a 20 MWh battery storage system and a dedicated 5 MW solar power facility at its plant.

According to a material disclosure submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on September 30, 2026, the company’s board approved the project through a resolution passed by circulation.

The battery storage system will work alongside the dedicated solar installation to help the company manage its electricity consumption and reduce reliance on expensive peak-hour grid power.

Attock Cement said the project will also increase the use of renewable energy at its plant while helping optimize energy costs.

The company was incorporated in Pakistan in 1981 and began commercial production in 1988. It manufactures and sells cement from its plant in Hub, Balochistan.

The company currently has an annual production capacity of around 4 million tons.
