Air Link Communication Limited has formally entered Pakistan’s electric vehicle industry after its board of directors approved the launch of an electric bike manufacturing project under a new brand, AirV.
The approval was granted during the board meeting held on July 23, with the company announcing plans to establish a state-of-the-art electric bike assembly plant at its existing manufacturing facility in the Sundar Green Special Economic Zone (SGSEZ), Lahore.
The move marks Air Link’s expansion beyond its core electronics business as it seeks to diversify into technology-driven mobility solutions and tap into the country’s growing demand for electric vehicles.
To execute the project, the board has authorized the company’s management to complete all regulatory approvals and commercial and operational formalities required for the launch.
The development was disclosed to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) through a material information notice submitted under Section 96 of the Securities Act, 2015, and Clause 5.6.1(a) of the PSX Regulations.
