ABHI Microfinance Bank has raised approximately Rs. 2 billion through the book-building phase of its initial public offering (IPO), as investor demand exceeded the number of shares available for institutional and high-net-worth investors.
According to Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) data, the book-building portion covered 99 million shares out of the bank’s total offering of 132 million ordinary shares, with a minimum price of Rs. 15 per share.
Investors submitted bids for approximately 157.17 million shares, significantly exceeding the 99 million shares offered in this phase. The indicative strike price was set at Rs. 15.50 per share.
ABHI said the book-building process attracted bids worth more than Rs. 2.4 billion, with participation from foreign investment funds, local institutions and high-net-worth individuals.
The company described the offering as Pakistan’s first IPO of a fintech-led microfinance bank.
The remaining 33 million shares will be offered to retail investors at the strike price of Rs. 15.50 per share. The public subscription period is scheduled for November 12 and 13, 2026.
ABHI Microfinance Bank had earlier announced plans to raise between Rs. 2 billion and Rs. 3 billion through the IPO.
The funds raised through the offering are intended to support the bank’s lending operations, expand its loan portfolio and strengthen its capital base.
