National Foods Limited posted a 195 percent year-over-year increase in consolidated profit after tax to Rs. 5.917 billion in fiscal year 2026, according to a result review by Topline Securities.
The company’s earnings per share (EPS) increased to Rs. 11.42 in FY26 from Rs. 2.33 in the previous year.
The company announced a cash dividend of Rs. 5 per share for the fourth quarter, taking its total dividend for FY26 to Rs. 30 per share.
National Foods recorded consolidated profit of Rs. 644 million in the fourth quarter, translating into an EPS of Rs. 2.76. Quarterly profit increased 19 percent year over year but fell 76 percent compared with the previous quarter.
The company’s annual profitability received a major boost from other income, which surged 251 percent to Rs. 8.06 billion. Topline Securities attributed the increase mainly to returns on short-term investments and proceeds from the sale of the company’s Cash and Carry business.
National Foods’ net sales increased 14 percent year over year to Rs. 50.6 billion, while gross profit rose 20 percent to Rs. 19.447 billion.
However, fourth-quarter gross margin declined to 33 percent from 38 percent in the same period last year.
Topline Securities noted that FY26 earnings included a one-time gain. On a recurring basis, earnings were estimated at Rs. 25.4 per share, compared with reported earnings of Rs. 111.4 per share.
