The Pakistani rupee (PKR) extended its winning streak against the US Dollar (USD) to 243 consecutive days on Friday, while the British Pound (GBP) is likely to fall below Rs. 370 next week following its latest decline, a day trader told RBN.

The PKR closed at 277.25 against the US Dollar, gaining one paisa during the session.

The day trader said energy shocks in European commodity markets could continue to weigh on the Pound, potentially pushing it below the Rs. 370 level next week.

The rupee has recorded gains against the US Dollar every trading day since December 25, 2025.

Other Currencies

The rupee gained 54 paisas against the British Pound but weakened by 34 paisas against the Australian Dollar.

It lost 21 paisas against the Euro while gaining 20 paisas against the Canadian Dollar.

The PKR strengthened by one paisa against the UAE Dirham and remained unchanged against the Saudi Riyal.
