Pakistan recorded a trade surplus of around $480 million with the United States during the first two months of fiscal year 2026-27, with the US continuing to serve as the country’s largest export market, according to documents seen by RBN.

Pakistan exported goods worth approximately $1.17 billion to the US during July and August 2026, while imports from the American market stood at around $690 million.

Exports to the US increased by 10.46 percent compared with the same period last year. Imports, however, jumped by around 144 percent during the first two months of FY27.

Despite the sharp rise in imports, Pakistan continued to maintain a trade surplus with the US, reinforcing the importance of the American market to the country’s external trade.

During FY26, Pakistan’s trade surplus with the US stood at approximately $2.59 billion.

Pakistan exported around $5.91 billion worth of goods to the US during the fiscal year, while imports from the country amounted to approximately $3.32 billion.
