Google has committed $500,000 to support digital citizenship and artificial intelligence (AI) safety programs in Pakistan.

The funding will be provided through local partnerships to expand initiatives that help children and adults build safer online habits, recognize digital threats and use technology more responsibly.

The announcement comes alongside Google’s Digital Pasban initiative, which aims to provide online safety resources and parental guidance to 200,000 households across Pakistan.

According to Google, the funding will support evidence-based programs focused on digital citizenship and AI safety, giving young people and adults practical skills to navigate the digital world more safely.

The initiatives are intended to strengthen digital awareness while helping Pakistani families better understand the risks and responsibilities associated with online platforms and emerging AI technologies.
