International Packaging Films Limited (PSX: IPAK) has approved a Rs. 1.4 billion investment to expand its production capacity for value-added packaging products.
In a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Wednesday, the company said its wholly owned subsidiary, Global Packaging Films (Private) Limited (GPAK), has approved the acquisition of a state-of-the-art metallizer at an estimated cost of approximately Rs. 1.4 billion.
The investment is part of the group’s strategy to increase the share of value-added products in its packaging films portfolio.
According to the company, the new metallizer will strengthen GPAK’s metallizing capabilities, expand production capacity for metallized packaging films, improve operational efficiency, and help meet rising demand from both domestic and export markets.
The company said the project aligns with its long-term growth strategy of enhancing higher-value manufacturing and expanding its presence in premium packaging segments.
