The Azad Jammu and Kashmir government has issued a travel advisory for tourists and other visitors following a protest call scheduled for June 9.
Authorities have urged tourists from across the country to avoid traveling to Azad Kashmir between June 5 and June 20, warning that the situation could lead to disruptions in movement across key highways and entry and exit routes.
According to the advisory, individuals currently present in the region for tourism, business, or other purposes have been requested to leave by the evening of June 5 as a precautionary measure.
Officials said the advisory has been issued to prevent inconvenience and ensure public safety in view of the expected protest activity.
The government further cautioned that transportation routes in and out of the region may be affected, which could cause difficulties for travelers.
Citizens have been advised to avoid non-essential travel and follow official instructions until further notice.
