The federal government has revised the schedule for presenting the FY2026–27 budget, which will now be tabled on June 10, sources familiar with the matter told ProPakistani.
The budget was earlier expected on June 5, but the timeline was shifted following the postponement of the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting originally set for June 3.
Officials confirmed that a formal notification regarding the revised schedule has already been issued. The government has now finalized June 10 as the new date for the federal budget presentation.
According to the notification, a fresh date for the NEC meeting will be announced separately.
The change has slightly adjusted the overall fiscal planning calendar as preparations for one of the government’s key economic announcements continue.
