The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast widespread rain, strong winds, thunderstorms, and isolated hailstorms across the upper regions of the country between June 2 and June 5.
According to the advisory, a western weather system is expected to enter the region, bringing cloudy conditions and intermittent rainfall over multiple areas.
The system is likely to affect parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northern Punjab, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and surrounding hilly regions, with varying intensity during the forecast period.
The Met Office warned that windstorms and lightning activity may occur in some areas, while higher-altitude regions could also experience hailstorms and heavy downpours at isolated locations.
Authorities have advised relevant departments to remain alert, particularly in vulnerable areas where rainfall may trigger local flooding, landslides, or disruption to transport routes.
The public, especially travelers and residents in mountainous regions, has been urged to take precautionary measures during severe weather conditions.
Further updates will be issued as the weather system develops and moves across the country.
