The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has updated the “Consumer Awareness” section on its official website in a move aimed at improving consumer awareness and increasing tariff transparency in the telecom sector.
According to PTA, the updated section is intended to help users compare telecom packages more easily and make better-informed decisions when choosing services.
The authority said the revamped section offers consumers improved access to tariff-related information as well as broader market trends.
As part of the initiative, PTA has introduced a more user-friendly and detailed display of quarterly tariff trends for the top 10 hybrid bundles, based on subscriber numbers, offered by Jazz, Ufone, Telenor, and Zong.
It has also updated tariff sheets to reflect prevailing package prices. The information includes package-wise quarterly pricing, annual increase percentages, validity periods, and incentives offered by mobile operators.
PTA has encouraged consumers to regularly check its official website and telecom operators’ platforms for the latest tariff updates and market trends.
The authority said the move is part of its broader commitment to protecting consumer interests and promoting greater transparency in Pakistan’s telecom market.
