A journalist close to US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that despite ongoing discussions over a possible US–Iran peace agreement, no final deal has been reached so far.

Caitlin Doornbos of the New York Post wrote on X that Trump has dismissed suggestions of an imminent breakthrough, saying it is still “too soon” to consider any high-profile diplomatic moves, including a potential visit to Islamabad.

“It’s too far. No, it’s too much,” Trump reportedly told her when asked about preparations linked to a peace deal and a possible Pakistan trip.

The journalist noted that Trump had earlier floated the idea of traveling to Pakistan for a potential deal-signing event, but emphasized that such plans remain premature as negotiations are still ongoing and have not reached a final stage.
