Engro Fertilizers Limited has appointed Imran Ahmed as its new Chief Executive Officer.
According to a notification submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company’s Board of Directors has approved his appointment for the remaining term, which will continue until the next scheduled election of directors.
The company stated that Imran Ahmed will officially assume charge as CEO from May 11, 2026.
The appointment follows the earlier resignation of former CEO Ali Rathore, who led the company during a period marked by strong urea production levels, operational growth, and ongoing challenges in the agriculture sector, including gas supply constraints, inflationary pressures, and shifting farm economics.
Engro Fertilizers Limited is one of Pakistan’s largest fertilizer producers and plays a key role in the country’s agriculture sector. The company operates major production facilities in Daharki and Port Qasim and holds a significant share of the domestic urea market, with widely recognized brands such as Zarkhez and Zingro.
