Tens of thousands of bees have suddenly swarmed across multiple areas in Israel, creating alarm among residents and prompting authorities to issue urgent safety advisories.

Officials have instructed people to keep doors and windows tightly closed as dense swarms were reported moving through streets, residential zones, and commercial areas. The sudden appearance of large bee clusters caused panic in several neighborhoods, with residents describing heavy buzzing and visible clouds of insects surrounding buildings and vehicles.

Local reports indicated that shops and cafes in affected areas temporarily shut entrances as a precaution, while outdoor movement was reduced in some locations due to safety concerns. Videos circulating on social media showed thick swarms gathering around windows, street corners, and building entrances, intensifying public concern.

Emergency and environmental teams were dispatched to manage the situation, with authorities emphasizing that the bees are being handled by professional beekeepers to relocate colonies safely rather than destroy them. Officials also warned residents not to attempt removing or disturbing the swarms, as this could increase the risk of stings.

Experts noted that bee swarming is a natural biological process that occurs when colonies split to form new hives, often driven by seasonal changes and population growth within existing hives. However, the unusually large scale of the swarms has raised attention and concern among local communities.

While authorities stressed that swarming bees are generally not aggressive unless provoked, they cautioned that individuals with allergies remain at risk and should take extra precautions until the situation stabilizes.
