K-Electric Limited (PSX: KEL) has confirmed the appointment of Shaheryar Chishty as Chairman of its Board of Directors following recent corporate elections.

The company informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange that the decision was taken during a Board meeting held on April 15, 2026. The appointment comes shortly after shareholders elected a new board during an Extraordinary General Meeting conducted on April 2, 2026.

With this development, Shaheryar Chishty will now head the company’s board, overseeing governance matters and guiding long-term strategy for the electricity utility.

The announcement marks an important leadership transition for K-Electric as the company continues to navigate operational, regulatory, and energy supply challenges within Pakistan’s power sector. No further management changes were disclosed alongside the new chairmanship.
