Gold prices in Pakistan soared to a new record on Tuesday, mirroring gains in the international market. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola climbed to Rs. 406,778 after a single-day increase of Rs. 3,178.
The price of 10 grams of gold also saw a significant jump, reaching Rs. 348,746 following a rise of Rs. 2,725.
Just a day earlier, on Monday, gold was trading at Rs. 403,600 per tola after a sharp gain of Rs. 5,900.
Internationally, gold prices continued their upward trend. APGJSA reported the global rate at $3,855 per ounce (including a $20 premium), up by $37 in a single day.
Meanwhile, silver prices moved in the opposite direction. The price of silver per tola dropped by Rs. 16, settling at Rs. 4,776.
