The Pakistani Rupee (PKR) may weaken to over 300 against the US Dollar (USD) by the end of 2025, according to analysts.
A poll conducted by brokerage firm Topline Securities, released alongside its analysis of the upcoming monetary policy announcement, revealed mixed expectations regarding the outlook for the exchange rate.
The poll showed that 51% of participants expect the PKR to trade between Rs. 285 and Rs. 290 by December 2025. Meanwhile, 15% of respondents each predicted the exchange rate to fall within the ranges of Rs. 290-295, Rs. 295-300, and above Rs. 300, respectively.
Topline Securities itself forecasts the PKR to settle between Rs. 288-292 by December 2025 and further weaken to Rs. 298-302 by June 2026.
Current Exchange Rate
In the inter-bank market, the PKR closed at Rs. 284.97 against the USD yesterday, reflecting the ongoing pressure on the local currency.
