Gold prices in Pakistan soared once again on Monday, with the rate of 24 karat gold rising by Rs. 1,600 per tola to reach Rs. 359,700, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). This marks a significant jump from the previous trading day, when gold was selling at Rs. 358,100 per tola.
The precious metal has been on a remarkable upward streak, gaining Rs. 6,600 per tola over the last three trading days (Thursday to Saturday). With today’s increase, the four-day surge now totals Rs. 8,200 per tola.
The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also climbed, rising by Rs. 1,371 to settle at Rs. 308,384.
On the international front, gold was trading at $3,372 per ounce (including a $20 premium), reflecting a gain of $16, as reported by the Association.
Silver prices followed suit, with the per tola rate increasing by Rs. 65 to reach Rs. 4,087.
