In a significant wave of deportations, 131 Pakistani nationals have been expelled from 12 different countries over the past 48 hours for various offenses, including illegal entry, drug-related crimes, and job abandonment.
According to immigration sources, Saudi Arabia accounted for the largest number of deportations, expelling 74 Pakistanis primarily for drug peddling and leaving their jobs without notice. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) also deported several individuals on charges of illegal entry, theft, and drug offenses. Notably, one Pakistani traveler was denied entry into the UAE and sent back immediately, while another was deported after allegedly attempting to die by suicide.
Deportations were also reported from Oman, Cambodia, Bahrain, Azerbaijan, Iraq, and Mexico. Additionally, two individuals accused of human smuggling were sent back from Mauritania and Senegal. Among those deported, 16 were handed over to the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Circle, while six others were transferred to police in Larkana, Kalat, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, and Rawalpindi for further investigation.
In a related development, immigration authorities at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport offloaded 86 passengers during the same period. Among them, 30 Umrah pilgrims were stopped from boarding their flights to Saudi Arabia due to a lack of hotel bookings and insufficient funds. Additionally, seven students traveling on study visas to Cyprus, the UK, Azerbaijan, and Kyrgyzstan were also offloaded.
Several passengers with tourist visit visas for Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Malaysia, Indonesia, and other countries were denied travel, along with individuals blacklisted from working in Qatar, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia.
