The price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs. 700 per tola on Monday, selling at Rs. 275,000 compared to Rs. 275,700 on the previous trading day, according to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs. 600, settling at Rs. 235,768 from Rs. 236,368. The price of 10-gram 22-karat gold also dropped to Rs. 216,121 from Rs. 216,671.
Meanwhile, the prices of silver remained unchanged. Per tola silver was steady at Rs. 3,350, while the price of 10-gram silver held at Rs. 2,872.08.
In the international market, gold prices also saw a decline, dropping by $7 to $2,632 per ounce from $2,639.
Gold prices had risen during the first three days of 2025 before experiencing a decline on Saturday. Monday’s drop marks the second time this year that the price of the precious metal has decreased.
