Pakistan’s public-sector job market is seeing massive demand, with the National Job Portal (NJP) receiving around 7.1 million applications from job seekers, according to official government data.

The figures also show that the portal has published more than 1,200 job advertisements, highlighting the scale of demand for government employment through the country’s official digital recruitment platform.

The NJP has attracted 27.566 million unique visitors, while around 1.562 million candidates have created accounts on the portal. It has also received 1,562,595 CVs and resumes from applicants.

The platform currently has 185 registered employers, while government data separately records 22,999 archived vacancies on the portal. Since archived vacancies are not necessarily active openings, they should not be treated as the number of jobs currently available to applicants.

Developed by the National Information Technology Board (NITB), the National Job Portal provides a centralized online platform for government organizations to advertise positions and receive applications.

Job seekers can use the portal to search for public-sector opportunities across ministries and departments and submit applications electronically.

The data reflects the intense demand for government employment, with millions of applications being submitted through the digital recruitment system.
