5G support has officially begun appearing on select iPhone and Samsung devices in Pakistan as telecom operators start enabling compatibility lists for their networks.

According to details published on the official websites of Zong and Jazz, both operators have started identifying smartphones capable of running 5G services in the country.

At present, Zong is the only network offering 5G compatibility for iPhones. Its supported list includes all models starting from the iPhone 12 series and newer, covering the iPhone 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17 series, along with the iPhone SE and iPhone Air variants.

Zong has also included a wide range of Samsung devices in its 5G compatibility list. This includes Galaxy S series models from the S20 through S25 series, along with multiple A-series and M-series smartphones. However, the Galaxy S26 series has not yet been added. Some older and less common Samsung models are also listed, though their actual 5G capability remains uncertain.

Meanwhile, Jazz has introduced a more limited 5G device list. For Samsung users, supported models currently include the Galaxy A55, A57, A37, as well as the Galaxy S26 series, including the S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra.

However, Jazz has not yet confirmed direct iPhone 5G support. The operator stated that iPhone compatibility may depend on carrier settings updates or software updates from Apple, which could be required to enable full 5G functionality on local networks. Users have been advised to keep their devices updated to ensure access once support expands.

Ufone, meanwhile, has received approval from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to roll out 5G services nationwide, but no official launch timeline or device compatibility details have been announced so far.

As operators continue to prepare for wider 5G deployment, device compatibility remains limited and will likely expand gradually as networks mature across Pakistan.
