US President Donald Trump has called for Pakistan and several Arab and Muslim-majority countries to join the Abraham Accords, arguing that a broader regional agreement could help secure long-term peace in the Middle East and support ongoing diplomacy with Iran.

In a lengthy statement posted on Truth Social, Trump said discussions with leaders from Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Pakistan, Türkiye, Egypt, Jordan, and Bahrain focused on expanding the regional normalization framework originally launched during his presidency.

Trump said countries participating in the broader diplomatic initiative should also sign onto the Abraham Accords, which established formal relations between Israel and several Muslim-majority nations.

According to Trump, expanding the accords would strengthen economic ties, regional security, and political cooperation across the Middle East. He claimed the existing member countries have benefited financially and strategically since joining the framework.

He also linked the proposal to ongoing negotiations involving Iran, suggesting that a successful agreement with Tehran could eventually pave the way for even wider regional participation.

Trump specifically said Saudi Arabia and Qatar should move quickly to join the accords, while adding that most of the countries involved in the discussions appeared willing to consider the proposal.

The former US president described the potential agreement as one of the most significant diplomatic initiatives in modern Middle Eastern history and said his representatives would begin efforts to expand participation in the accords.
