An earthquake of magnitude 5.8 has struck Pakistan, the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) said on Wednesday.
The quake was at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.21 miles), GFZ said.

The Pakistan Seismological Center recorded the earthquake at a magnitude of 5.7 on the Richter scale, with a depth of 10 km. The epicenter was located at Shadiwala near Dera Ghazi Khan. Despite the widespread tremors, there were no immediate reports of significant damage or casualties.
Key cities and towns, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, and Faisalabad, experienced the tremors. In Punjab, districts such as Gujranwala, Jhang, Chiniot, Pindi Bhattian, and Sangla Hill were affected, along with areas like Mandi Bahauddin, Dijkot, and Pirmahal. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, regions including Malakand, Dera Ismail Khan, North Waziristan, Lakki Marwat, and Kurram reported the quake.
