The Sindh government has decided to introduce artificial intelligence (AI) into the recruitment and examination system of the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC), aiming to improve efficiency and minimize unnecessary human involvement.

The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by Sindh Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah, where officials reviewed the use of AI and other modern technologies across the province’s public examination and recruitment systems.

Under the proposed system, AI will assist in question paper preparation, examination assessment, and the management of examination data, according to the chief secretary.

The government expects the technology to streamline examination procedures, improve efficiency, and reduce human intervention in the process.

As part of the initiative, technology-equipped workstations will also be established across Sindh to provide candidates with access to modern facilities for examinations.

The government plans to expand AI-based systems beyond the Public Service Commission in subsequent phases. The technology is expected to be introduced in educational boards, other examinations, and recruitment processes across the province.

The initiative is part of Sindh’s broader push to incorporate modern technology into government and public-sector systems.
