The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has engaged business representatives from Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Faisalabad to discuss challenges affecting trade, investment and industrial activity.

Senior government officials met delegations from the four cities’ chambers of commerce and industry to hear concerns about business operations and identify areas where government support and coordination could help.

Business representatives highlighted operational difficulties and issues affecting commercial activity and investment.

The discussions also covered measures to improve the ease of doing business and strengthen coordination between the private sector and relevant government departments.

The meetings form part of the government’s efforts to consult the business community on obstacles facing companies and improve Pakistan’s investment environment.
