The Government of Punjab has officially approved the schedule for summer vacations across the province, confirming a nearly three-month break for students.
According to the decision endorsed by the provincial cabinet, all public and private educational institutions will remain closed from May 22 to August 23 as part of the annual summer holiday plan.
Officials stated that schools and colleges throughout Punjab will reopen on August 24, following the completion of the vacation period.
The decision was finalized during a cabinet meeting, where authorities approved the academic calendar adjustment to protect students and staff from extreme summer temperatures.
The announcement provides clarity for schools, parents, and students ahead of the peak summer season, allowing institutions to finalize examinations, results, and administrative arrangements before the holidays begin.
