Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) Group reported a 62% year-on-year increase in revenue during the first half of 2026, while net profit reached Rs. 4.7 billion, driven by the merger of Ufone and Telenor Pakistan and continued growth across its broadband, enterprise and mobile businesses.

According to the company’s financial results, consolidated operating profit surged 226% compared to the same period last year, reflecting higher revenues, operational efficiencies and the successful integration of Telenor Pakistan into Pak Telecom Mobile Limited (PTML).

PTCL’s standalone revenue rose 8% year-on-year, supported by a 27% increase in Flash Fiber revenue, 13% growth in Business Solutions, 16% growth in Carrier & Wholesale services, and a 3% rise in international business revenue. The company posted an operating profit of Rs. 8.5 billion, while net profit climbed to Rs. 3.6 billion, aided by a Rs. 2 billion dividend from its mobile business.

PTML, which now includes the combined Ufone and Telenor Pakistan operations, recorded 138% revenue growth and a 203% increase in operating profit to Rs. 23.1 billion, benefiting from the telecom merger and improved performance across both retail and corporate segments.

Meanwhile, UBank generated Rs. 12.3 billion in revenue and returned to an operating profit during the period. The bank’s net profit improved 85% from a year earlier, reflecting a continued financial turnaround.

During the second quarter, PTCL completed the merger of Ufone and Telenor Pakistan, creating one of the country’s largest telecom operators. The combined mobile business now serves more than 74 million subscribers, supported by integrated spectrum assets and nationwide network infrastructure.

PTCL also crossed 900,000 Flash Fiber subscribers, strengthening its position as Pakistan’s largest fiber broadband provider.

The company expanded its digital and enterprise offerings through partnerships with Apple’s authorized distributor Mercantile for bundled MacBook and Flash Fiber packages, and with Okasha to introduce smart home solutions. It also reported growing demand for cloud computing, AI infrastructure, cybersecurity, managed services and data center solutions.

Following its successful spectrum acquisition in Pakistan’s 5G auction earlier this year, PTML began rolling out 5G services during the second quarter while continuing network integration.

PTCL said digital adoption also improved during the period, with 59% of mobile recharges completed digitally, while monthly active users of the My Telenor and UPTCL apps increased 10% and 17%, respectively.
