The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced new postings for 10 director generals as part of a major administrative reshuffle.

The changes, approved by PTA Chairman Ahmed Shamim Pirzada, take effect immediately and cover several key departments of the authority.

Ahmed Shamim Pirzada has been moved from International Relations and General Administration to Consumer Protection. Dr Khurram Ali Mehran will now head International Relations and General Administration after being transferred from Consumer Protection.

Ehsan Yar Khan has been appointed Director General Information and Communication Technology, replacing Nauman Khalid, who will take charge as Director General Wireless Licensing.

Amer Shahzad has been moved from Wireless Licensing to Enforcement, while Amjad Mustafa Malik has been transferred from Enforcement to Strategy and Development.

Yasir Yaqoob has been posted as Director General Audit after serving in Human Resources and Coordination.

Wasi Ullah Khan will head Human Resources and Coordination and will also hold additional charge of Director General Licensing and Regulations under Regulation 50 of the PTA Employees Service Regulations, 2008.

Aadil Umer Khalil has been transferred from Commercial Affairs to Finance.

Tayyab Bin Tahir Khan has been appointed Director General Commercial Affairs and will also hold additional charge of Director General Administration.

The changes affect major PTA functions, including enforcement, licensing, consumer protection, finance, audit, administration and human resources.
