The federal government has increased petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) prices for the second time in two days, pushing petrol above Rs. 331 per litre.

According to the latest notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the price of petrol has been raised by Rs. 4.44 per litre to Rs. 331.52 per litre, while high-speed diesel has become Rs. 3.62 per litre more expensive, taking its new price to Rs. 378.66 per litre.

The revised prices took effect immediately following the government’s announcement on Thursday night.

The latest increase comes just a day after another sharp revision, when petrol prices were raised by Rs. 6.39 per litre to Rs. 327.12, while HSD prices increased by Rs. 7.83 per litre to Rs. 375.04 per litre.

With the latest adjustment, petrol prices have risen by Rs. 10.83 per litre and diesel prices by Rs. 11.45 per litre in just two days.
