The federal government has once again increased petroleum prices, issuing a new notification for fuel rates effective from July 29, 2026.

According to the notification issued by the Petroleum Division of the Ministry of Energy, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised petroleum prices under the government’s fuel pricing mechanism.

The price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs. 1.55 per litre, taking its new price to Rs. 388.38 per litre.

Meanwhile, petrol has become more expensive by Rs. 1.63 per litre, with the new price set at Rs. 335.81 per litre.

The latest increase comes a day after the government had reduced petrol prices by Rs. 1 per litre, bringing petrol down to Rs. 334.18 per litre, while increasing diesel prices to Rs. 386.83 per litre.

With the latest adjustment, both petrol and diesel prices have moved higher again, reversing the short-lived relief provided to consumers.
