A key moment in the National Assembly’s Interior Committee meeting on the Anmol Panki case emerged when MNA Nabeel Gabol alleged that the name “Anmol Panki” may only be a front identity, claiming that the real network behind the case has not yet been exposed.
Gabol further stated that a drug addict from his constituency had died and a coin carrying the name “Anmol Panki” was recovered from his possession. He suggested that the case may involve a larger, undisclosed network operating behind the scenes rather than a single individual.
Raising further questions over the investigation, another committee member pointed out alleged inconsistencies in the case, saying the suspect was reportedly involved in such activities for nearly 18 years but was only arrested after a short video circulated on social media. He also highlighted a procedural concern, noting that the arrest was made in Lahore while the suspect was later presented before authorities in Karachi.
The discussion reflected growing scrutiny within the committee over the credibility, timeline, and broader scope of the investigation.
