The Pakistani rupee continued its steady run against the US dollar on Wednesday, marking its 231st consecutive session of gains.

The rupee closed at 277.45 per dollar, strengthening by 1.23 paisas during the day.

The PKR has recorded a continuous upward trend against the dollar since December 25, 2025.

Rupee Performance Against Other Currencies

The rupee also strengthened against several major currencies.

It gained 65.49 paisas against the British pound and 39.73 paisas against the Australian dollar. The rupee also appreciated by 29.18 paisas against the euro and 82.69 paisas against the Canadian dollar.

Against the UAE dirham, the rupee gained 1.27 paisas, while it strengthened by 0.92 paisas against the Saudi riyal.

The Chinese yuan remained unchanged at Rs. 41.27.
