The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) continued its upward momentum on Thursday, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index climbing 2,838 points (1.62%) to close at 178,124.
The market traded in positive territory throughout the day, touching an intraday high of 178,431 after opening on a strong note. The session’s low was recorded at 175,672, highlighting sustained buying interest.
The rally was fueled by renewed investor optimism, easing geopolitical uncertainty and strong demand for heavyweight stocks across key sectors.
Leading the market’s advance were ENGROH, UBL, MEBL, HUBC and LUCK, which together accounted for roughly 967 points of the index’s total gain.
Market activity remained healthy, with investors trading 737 million shares worth around Rs. 34.6 billion, reflecting broad participation in the recovery.
