The Pakistan Stock Brokers Association (PSBA) has elected Muhammad Yasir Mahmoud as its new Chairman following its Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Karachi on September 29, 2026.

The AGM approved all resolutions placed before members, including the audited financial statements for the year ended June 30, 2026, the appointment of M. Saleem Associates as the auditor for 2027, the minutes of the fifth AGM, and the association’s Annual Report 2026.

The meeting also saw the election of the new PSBA Board and Executive Committee. The polls were conducted under the applicable rules of the Directorate General of Trade Organizations (DGTO).

Abdus Samad Salim was elected Senior Vice Chairman, while Muhammad Sharif was elected Vice Chairman.

The other elected Board and Executive Committee members are Fawad Yusuf, Habib Ullah Sheikh, Jahanzeb Mirza, Malik Dil Awayz Ahmed, Muhammad Amin Yousuf, Noman and Yasir Yaqoob.

The election process was overseen by the PSBA Election Commission in line with the relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

After assuming office, Mahmoud said the association would continue working on innovation, regulatory coordination and member advocacy. He said the new leadership would maintain engagement with regulators and tax authorities to address issues affecting stock brokers and investors.

The AGM ended with a vote of thanks for the outgoing directors and the formal start of the new Board’s tenure.
