Pakistan has denied social media reports that Houthi forces damaged Pakistan Air Force (PAF) JF-17 fighter jets at a Saudi Arabian air base.

The Ministry of Information said no credible or official source has reported damage to any Pakistani fighter aircraft deployed in Saudi Arabia.

The clarification came after claims circulated online that Houthi missiles had hit King Abdulaziz Air Base in Dhahran and damaged three PAF JF-17s.

The ministry called the reports false and accused some Indian social media accounts of spreading the claims.

It said the claims about damaged aircraft and their supposed evacuation were also fabricated.

Pakistan has military personnel and equipment deployed in Saudi Arabia under a defense cooperation agreement signed between the two countries in September 2025.

The claims surfaced as Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia have continued. Earlier this week, debris from a Houthi drone intercepted by Saudi air defenses fell in Taif.

The incident killed a Yemeni resident and injured a Saudi woman and a Pakistani resident, who was critically wounded. Several buildings and vehicles were also damaged.

Saudi authorities also said earlier this month that their air defenses intercepted a drone south of Makkah that was attempting to enter the holy city’s airspace.

Recent Houthi attacks on southern Saudi Arabia have reportedly injured people and caused damage to energy-related facilities, adding to tensions in the region.
