Pakistan Navy has successfully conducted a live firing of the indigenously developed Taimoor air-launched cruise missile, showcasing a major boost in the country’s maritime strike and combat readiness capabilities.
According to the Directorate General Public Relations (Pakistan Navy), the missile—an anti-ship weapon system—was tested in a live operational environment where it demonstrated high-precision targeting and successfully completed its mission.
Officials said the air-launched cruise missile accurately detected, tracked, and engaged its intended target, validating the Navy’s ability to neutralize enemy naval threats at long ranges with precision.
The successful test marks a significant advancement in Pakistan’s defence capabilities, strengthening the armed forces’ coordinated multi-domain strike posture in conventional warfare scenarios.
The Navy emphasized that the development reflects growing indigenous technological strength and operational self-reliance in advanced weapon systems.
Pakistan Navy reiterated its commitment to defending the country’s maritime borders and protecting national sea-based interests.
The President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister, and senior military leadership including the Chief of Defence Forces and Services Chiefs congratulated the scientists and engineers involved in the successful development and test of the system.
