Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has approved a substantial reduction in the price of diesel, delivering significant relief to consumers across the country.
Under the latest revision, the government has reduced the diesel rate by Rs. 32.12 per litre, bringing it down from Rs. 385.54 to Rs. 353.43 per litre.
Officials said the decision reflects the government’s intent to pass on the benefit of changing international oil prices directly to the public. The reduction is part of broader efforts to ease the financial burden on citizens and stabilize fuel costs.
The Prime Minister directed that the impact of lower petroleum prices should be transferred to the public as quickly as possible, emphasizing timely implementation of the revised rates.
Authorities are expected to enforce the new pricing immediately across the country.
